Trying a competition

Never done a competition before. I'm not a competative sort, but Mum sends me a link to the comp and I say "why not?"

They have some prizes int he way of subscriptions and news posts etc and my thought is "Well, it'd be nice if I get it, but if not then it makes good practice."

Then I look at the other folks who have commented to say "I'm entering"... Well, let's just say I'm screwed already. If I were up against folks who were amatuer like myself then I'd feel a tad confident that at least I'm in with a fair shot, but some of these guys are mind-blowingly good. THey get shape, shine, shadow and all the other S word's that apply down perfect.

So I'm still gonna enter and apply to the rules, but suffice to say, this is practice.

hey there, got some nice stuff in your gallery!
and no I´m not talking about the Leon Kennedy piece...honestly if it bugs you, get rid of it...Art should make you feel good and comfortable...not annoyed or even bad ;)

On the other hand I recognized that a lot of your coloring seems to miss the highlights, doesn´t make it look bad or anything but I seem to miss it at points.
Might just be me though so don´t hold it against me ;)

Thanks mate, very much appreciated.

Not that I'm arguing with you, but allow me to explain: I tend to miss the highlights for a few reasons, first and foremost I will usually not do more than three layers for each aspect as I worry I'd be overdoing or overcomplicating the colours for me, second it's because I have issue with working out where the lightsource is and wanna concentrate on creating definition and instead of shine and third... my monitor is quite dark. If I lighten it it throws out the colour balance. :)

And thank you for not going overly gooey at Leon, you have made my day.
