Last Christmas I did a tribute to Mike Wieringo, today I have completed a tribute to Michael Turner.
I found the lines for this Batman picture online and have given it a go. The only alteration I made was to move the late, great Mr Turner's signature lower in the image as the background made it unreadable.
Bats is my second fave comic book superhero and is the chief subject that my close friend, Ram, and I bonded over. So I took great care to do this right, but I took a suprisingly short time to complete this.
Had to do the Joker background as it's the easy choice but at least different to the typical "dusk sky" or "skyline" backdrops.
Also, as the buckle is obscured, it is up to you whether this is Bruce or Dick under the mask.
Rest in Peace, Mike. You are missed by many, still.
Wonderful shade and light in this ...... and I am so pleased you haven't used the typical background too, it has become so overused. I reckon he will be smiling down on you right now son, you did a great job and with plenty of respect

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
